Steve Byrom started his career in the early 1980s as an electronics technician working on data acquisition equipment, and then moving into applications engineering and technical sales. He joined Yokogawa in 1996 as a Product Specialist in the recorder and data acquisition products group. Soon after, he moved into Product Management for the new paperless data recording products, experiencing the explosive growth of PC software tools and network connectivity and their impact on how industry measures, archives, and reports on important plant process data. Today he works in the technical support group at Yokogawa for data acquisition and control products. For fun Steve is constantly repairing or rebuilding something old, or making something new in his woodshop, or enjoying his audiophile/music habit and traveling with his wife.
